Activist, poet, and musician Saul Williams is catching gruff from fans for allowing Nike to use his song “List of Demands” in commercials. Williams wrote an open letter defending the use of the song. I received a lot of questions from some about why I would allow my song ‘List of Demands’ to be used in a Nike campaign. Ironically, half of the people now reading this post never heard of me until that commercial ...Shared by Chris Glass (4) Dr. Ernie (48) Eric (5) etlund (5) Gio (14) Jan (5) Jeremy Harrington (6) John (12) Leon (4) Mahesh CR (2) pberry (8) sameer (13) voidfiles (11) Ward Andrews (8)Contribute comment -

Comcast is out telling defending its bandwidth caps and how they are not bad. And how 250 GB transfer is plenty and enough to do whatever we want to do. Of course, in today’s terms that is more than enough, but what happens in the future. Nevertheless, If they are going to put caps, then they need to give us to what I think is an acceptable expectation - a meter. “To know and not do is not to know.” - Lao Tzu I’m a huge advocate of regular reading. But, too much reading can prevent you from achieving your goals and enjoying your life. The quote above from Lao Tzu came to my attention via a comment Melani ...Contribute comment -

A map is valuable for its ability to convey information. Too much and its illeligible; too little and the map isn't very useful. Layers are used by cartographers to make maps more usable. Layers are easy to turn on and off on digital maps, but it's difficult to have multiple ones on a physical map. The recently-released Panamaps are able to have three layers on a single map. Top 5 Reasons Business Execs Fail to Work Effectively with Product and Engineering Execs (31)

All too often, technology companies fail to find the right balance within their business executives. When a business exec is too technical, she may not have the aggressiveness or “street smarts” to help a young company succeed. If a business exec isn’t technical enough, he might swim out of his depth and make wrong decisions about key technology or product hires.
