Will Google Use Chrome to Index Password Protected Web? (58)

It's now over a month since Google released its open source web browser, Chrome. An interesting theory we heard recently is that Google will use Chrome to index the password protected Web - a.k.a. the 'dark web'. Right now the Chrome Terms of Service (TOS) prevents Google from indexing private data. But when you consider that Chrome was initially presented as a browser for applications, instead of just web pages, this theory begins to make ...Shared by !&# (103) 8dee (97) Aelle (28) Ahsan Navid Hussain (450) Alex (34) Alex Whyke (28) Alireza Ziaie (18) aNTwNHs (77) bittin (289) Carl (26) Cesar Noel Quinon (43) Chris (26) chris (320) clementi (30) Colin (27) Cubby Brendle (18) Dan (48) dobata (307) dopefish (26) Dzu (20) Erwin Tang Yew Hon (99) Gemma (2) gisc (29) Jeff (36) Jeff (159) kmohr25 (26) Krazy (468) Kris (90) Leena (1058) manda (10) mandaj (55) mdc (20) mfavez (76) Michael (130) Mike F (651) Nicholas Mercer (19) Ortelius (52) Paul Spoerry (50) Rahul Das (23) rawwell (131) Rick Turoczy (264) rob (32) sadiq kassamali (30) santiromero (18) Sean McBride (116) Simon Barker (22) Skellie (78) Spudsstuff (63) Steven Bullen (303) StevieB (51) szajmon (21) Takayuki (71) Tewe (21) tomaz (8) Tommy (18) Tyson Williams (94) wcaw (78) Who Knows? Flickr Launched New iPhone Optimized Site (93)

Flickr has launched a new iPhone-optimized version of its site, and it looks fantastic. As you can see in the screenshots, the most used options run along the top of the page and, although there doesn't appear to be any AJAX-y cacheing going on, the individual pages load at a fair clip. You can do anything of the viewing you can do on the normal Flickr, although the bite-sized version doesn't offer any editing of ...Shared by =peterd (13) adam (1018) Adam (24) Adam (6) Adam Debreczeni (22) Adam Fuhrer (25) Alfonso Martinez (10) André R. Nintendo Announces DSi (161)
on
Engadget (4865) permalink
Filed under: Gaming As expected, Nintendo has announced the new DSi at its Fall presentation in Japan. The device features a dual touchscreen layout almost identical to the DS Lite, though the company is calling it a "third platform," which means it's complementing the existing system, not necessarily replacing it. Looks-wise there's not much different happening, but it's some 12 percent thinner -- partly because it omits the GBA cartridge slot. The displays are slightly ...Shared by ~V~ (11) Aaron Petrey (12) adam (33) Adam (24) Adam Debreczeni (22) Adam R. Palin Can't Name Supreme Court Case She Disagrees With Other Than Roe (VIDEO) (49)
