Windows: Its a Windows Window! Get It?? (19)
on Gizmodo (5268) permalinkThe ultimate Microsoft fanboy concept, Fenêtres 3.1 (or the Windows Window as we're insisting on calling it) is a normal house window decorated with all of the accouterments of the classic Windows 3.1 OS (along with the placeholder background from Windows XP). And yes, pulling down the blinds even brings up the dreaded BSoD. The designer truly thought of everything, except it's missing the boot disk you'll need to actually open the window or anything ...Shared by Arturo (221) charris1980 (89) docbaily (166) Erik C. Shouting vase muffles outbursts, doubles as flower holder (20)
on Engadget (3150) permalinkFiled under: Misc. Gadgets We genuinely hope you don't have a need for this thing, but after standing in one of the many iPhone lines for hours on end, only to hear Apple tell you to come back in the morning and try again, we can certainly see how it would come in handy. Best we can tell, the shouting vase is just a sophisticated (or not) muffling utensil, which enables tempestuous individuals to unleash ...Shared by Aaron (78) Ali T (32) Andy (9) Bextra (54) Brian (6) Bwana (189) Carbonlord (913) cesaracardoso (129) Edo (74) hank (82) Jared (93) Joe (2) John G (10) John LeMasney (2) Ken (19) Mathew (75) Punksolid (92) tweez (244) YuSuPh (36) zsafwan (125)

Horn Subwoofer Takes Up Crazy Man's Entire Basement [Retromodo] (17)
on Gizmodo (5268) permalinkWhile you might think you have a pretty sizable subwoofer, when it's compared to this crazy Italian man's subwoofer, it's downright pathetic. That's because he essentially converted his entire basement into one ridiculously large subwoofer.Update: OK, so this is a few years old (circa 2000), but I'd never seen it and it seems like many of you haven't either. What's New To Soul Calibur 4? Just Ask Cassandra And Hilde! (2)
on GayGamer.net (6) permalinkI, like many people, find myself compulsively drawn to game series that seem to be rehashed over and over again. Dead or Alive, Guitar Hero, Microsoft Flight Simulator... okay so maybe not that last thing, but I do keep buying titles and I have to ask myself, what is different enough that I need to spend money on them again? Soul Calibur is no exception to this dilemma. Few people have speculated on little more ...Shared by handir (20) Joe (2)Contribute comment

Fan Crafted Mario-Themed Room (4)
on Wired: Game|Life (58) permalink"Antoinette J. Citizen" just posted a few pictures from one of the finest pieces of Nintendo-themed art I've ever seen: An entire room she decorated to resemble the first level from Super Mario Bros. From the pixelated, multi-surface mural depicting the iconic stage, to the 3-D bricks that emit sound effects from the game, the entire project demonstrates an almost obsessive attention to retro gaming detail. I don't think I have the scratch necessary to ...Contribute comment

‘Diablo III’ Producer Justifies Controversial Art Direction: ‘Color Is Your Friend’ (1)
on MTV Multiplayer (26) permalinkWhy did Blizzard choose an art style for “Diablo III” that would anger so many fans? I got answers in Paris last weekend before people were really asking the question. And I know of at least 14,000 people who’d like an answer. Those are the thousands of diehard “Diablo” fans who have signed a petition against the game’s new art direction (with more than 1,000 signatures added every hour). When I asked lead producer Keith ...Shared by Joe (2)Contribute comment

Nerdy Summer Eats: 1up Mushroom Burger (4)
on Wired: Game|Life (58) permalinkMy friend Karen is a genius who invented a veggie burger that looks like a 1up mushroom. Even better, she posted the very detailed recipe over at Instructables, which means that you can replicate this feat. Make sure to use the roundest, crustiest buns you can find, and go find the green food coloring on the back of your shelf. There's even instructions on how to make a hand-made mushroom veggie patty. Sharper Image Human Touch Massage Chairs Look Familiar [PIC] (57)
on Gizmodo (5268) permalinkReader Tim points out that this massage chair, seen at Sharper Image, looks really familiar. You know, we think he's right, but we can't quite get a grasp on it. We just hope they keep on selling these things even after their stores close—you know, for the human touch. Seriously, it's like on the tip of our tongue. What is this thing? ICANN Opens Door For Crazy Domain Names Like Crap.Crap [Domain Names] (11)
on Gizmodo (5268) permalinkICANN has just made a decision that goes beyond allowing .xxx to be a top level domain; they're allowing all words to be top level domains. That means you're going to see domains like fuck.shit, shit.shit, shit.fuck, whatisthisshit.fuck, and so forth. What's not allowed is domains that conflict with trademarks (.pepsi was the example), too similar to current top level domains, or names associated with countries or governments (juicy.turkey). Dog Made Adorably Bionic With Model Airplane Wheels [Awwww] (37)
on Gizmodo (5268) permalinkThis tiny puppy, named Hope, was born without front legs. You know what that means: it was time to create a robopuppy. Image Fulgurator Does Real-World Hacking Of Other People's Photos [Photo Hacking] (32)
on Gizmodo (5268) permalinkAccording to Merriam Webster fulguration means "the act or process of flashing like lightning" and that's kind of the principle behind artist Julius von Bismarck's device. It's a reactive flash image-projector... or, to put it another way, a real-world hack of other people's photos. Sounds sinister, looks sinister... works great. Adapted from a flash gun and an old SLR, it senses the flash of someone's camera, and then quickly illuminates itself, projecting images or text ...Shared by .dean (8) Alan Cheslow (39) Ben (11) Chris (1) Chris Schrier (14) Christian (115) Corey Thomas (12) David Worrell (32) Guido (0) Jaime (89) Jay (17) Jeremiah (61) Jilted (20) Joe (2) Justin (13) Keenan (0) Kevin Curry (17) Michael (0) Mike F (1545) nparker13 (446) Peter (41) Ron (0) Russellreno (9) Ryan (81) Scott Schnaars (5) Solon (18) Stacy Jai (7) Sun Tzu (1251) Vahid (727) vince (2) William Clifford (15) Zach (202)

Lego Secret Vault Contains All Sets In History (VIDEO) (260)

Pool Crashing in the UK Becomes Latest Google Earth Prank [Dipping] (27)

According to the Daily Mail (commenter djheath's favorite publication, if I recall correctly) putative trespassers select their swimming pool using Google Earth, and then notify their mates using social networking sites.
