So, are you enjoying the snappy, clean performance of Google Chrome since downloading yesterday? If so, you might want to take a closer peek at the end user license agreement you didn't pay any attention to when downloading and installing it. Because according to what you agreed to, Google owns everything you publish and create while using Chrome. Ah-whaaa? Here are the juicy bits in question: 11. Hack Your Wii for Homebrew Apps and DVD Playback [Wii] (214)
on
Lifehacker (7334) permalink
Despite the fact that it ships with a DVD drive, for whatever godforsaken reason, the Nintendo Wii doesn't support DVD playback—until last week, that is, when a homebrew hacker released a tool that enables DVD playback on your Wii. The best part? You don't have to crack open your Wii or disturb your hardware in any way to install it. Let's take a detailed look at how to softmod your Wii with the Twilight hack ...Shared by Aaron Junod (2) Aaron R (74) AaronTN (34) abrudtkuhl (0) Adam (18) Adam Dempsey (13) AdamB (16) adantas (25) Adolfo Celis (8) Alex (102) Alone On A Friday (4) alphakamp (30) Amu (10) Andemann (4) Andrew (30) Andrew Becherer (13) Andrew Hughes (32) Archimedes Trajano (13) Arkayz (3) Art (22) aurelien (10) Bene (3) Billy Fairchild (2) Bjarte S. - Jorge said: This is a nice detail on how to set up Wii homebrew and DVD playback. I've been running the Homebrew Channel for a couple of months now. I rented Zelda from Blockbuster to install it (f'n $8 for a 5-day rental). By far my favorite Wiibrew app is FCE Ultra, the classic NES emulator. The Wiimote works great for it since the system only had two buttons. It's really nice to have the SD available for installing new Wii homebrew (like the DVD player) as it comes along. I haven't tried the DVD player yet, but I may soon.

Filed under: Cellphones, Handhelds Would you look at this. A very official looking page -- at a Palm.com domain, no less -- has unveiled the previously rumored Treo 850 as the Treo Pro. We're still digging the new look, though the keyboard does look suspiciously small in these shots. At a cursory glance we've got WiFi, a camera and a 3.5mm stereo jack. Last week, Philo showed you how to implement sIFR3. This time, I’m going to show you how to implement Facelift Image Replacement (or FLIR), an alternative to sIFR that does not require Flash. Palm Centro 2 leaked, lacking QWERTY? (8)

Engadget (3243) permalink
Filed under: Cellphones As good as it looks, we're not going to get too carried away with this supposedly leaked Centro 2 image. While the mockup certainly looks professional, there's no way of knowing at this point whether or not it's from Palm official or just the dream of a downcast fanboy. If true, then we're looking at a new, presumably QWERTY-less touchscreen device with what looks like an Opera (not Blazer) browser, dedicated media ...Shared by Amihai (24) Dominic Hopton (3) erbianchi (27) Gabriel (7) Henry (8) Joe Fa (2) Kaos (25) Michael (18)Contribute comment -
