Friday's edition of the NPR program All Things Considered included a piece by Yuki Noguchi on some suspicious whitewashing that went down in Sarah Palin's Wikipedia entry just before she was revealed as the GOP's candidate for vice-president. Snip: Someone — and apparently it was just one person — felt like the existing biography wasn't appropriate for a vice-presidential candidate. MySpace's Tom Anderson Was A Real Life “WarGames” Hacker (270)

Late last year we discovered that MySpace cofounder Tom Anderson, arguably the most popular individual on the Internet with 240+ million MySpace friends (he is added by default to every MySpace account) was actually 37 years old, not the 32 that he continues to claim on his MySpace page. Now we’ve learned a much more colorful part of Anderson’s history: In 1985, when he was fourteen and in high school in Escondido, California, Anderson was ...Shared by Aaron (26) AaronTN (36) abhi (2) adam (972) Adam (3) Adam (9) Adam (16) Adam McDonald (29) adamkcarson (10) Adrian Bacon (20) AJ (19) AJ (190) Alberto (2) Alex France (139) Alex Ryan (17) Alfonso Martinez (14) Allen Thompson (14) Andreas (13) Andrei (6) Andrei Vladescu-Olt (19) andrew reedy (13) Andy (10) Angel (7) Angel (14) angel (253) Anthony (11) aNTwNHs (78) Archit T (16) Armando Alves (29) arturo.servin (10) Avi (709) b (45) Beglen (11) Ben (76) Ben (5) Ben S (40) Ben Soto (0) Benjamin (1053) BIGODE (23) Bill (17) bittin (210) Brajeshwar (23) Bret Taylor (14) Brian (26) Bryan Waters (2) Buzzworkers (20) Cai Chen (995) Calvin Robinson (19) Carl (5) Carl Dunn3 (15) Carlito (10) Cesar Noel Quinon (16) charlie anzman (112) cheflove (239) Chris (34) chris (5) Chris C (1) Chris Lee (4) Chris Ryall (19) Chris Stamas (9) chrisco (3) Christopher (22) Clint (22) Corwin Hoover (1) crazyjaf (44) Creeva (41) Dan (78) Dan Driver (1) Dan Kearns (28) Danny (4) DarkBls (73) dave (0) Dave (5) Dean Clark (139) Dennis Gonzales (16) Digg Boss (641) Dileepa (25) Dion Rodrigues (43) DIOSA | Communications (0) dmkinteractive (18) dobata (366) DOCBook Howto (116) Drew Olanoff (144) DrFu (22) Dustin DeKoekkoek (7) Eater (20) El_Greco (27) Eoin (14) Eric Herboso (12) Eunice (12) evo (11) FaceySpacey (3) faizal (11) Fernando (27) g b (39) Gavin (23) George Syson (15) guy (626) Harold Cabezas (3) Heather (7) hikbi (109) HollowMarkeD (65) Humberto Gonzalez (43) hyderabadblues (5) Iain Baker (6) Jack (91) Jacob (29) Jacopo (4) Jake (0) James (18) James Frye (6) James Fuller (20) Jase (13) Jason Joo (73) Jason Sares (11) Jawa Buddhavarapu (29) Jawad Shuaib (11) Jay (58) Jay Springett (20) jayce (60) Jean-Baptiste (2) Jeff (59) Jeff Q (8) Jeffrey (2) Jens Christian Freund (17) Jeremy (104) Jim Reppond (4) Joe (102) Joe Smith (6) Joe Wang (0) Jonathan Washburn (3) Jordan Calhoun (8) Josh Chandler (4) Jrod (68) JUSTIN (13) Justin Laramée (10) Katie Fellows (37) Kevin Rose (14) Kim, Yi-chul (14) kmohr25 (22) Koka Sexton (12) Kristen (218) kskobac (17) Kyle (2) lasean (3) Laughing Squid (17) LeapsandBounds (15) Lee (50) Leena (1060) Leo Laporte (15) Manuj Darshan (9) Marcio (5) mario r (18) Mario Villalobos (1) Mark (6) Mark (21) Mark Cheverton (2) Marten (23) Matt (5) Matt (6) Matt Pierson (9) Matthew (3) Matthew Jones (3) melmyfinger (15) Mich D (169) Michael Bartnett (43) Michael Reese (22) Michael Stewart (0) Michaelk (17) Michelle Barsi (2) Mike Nayyar (199) Mike Wilton (14) minmax (9) Moah (10) mubix (18) Nate Whitehill (2) neal (530) nervioso (72) Nicholas Mercer (9) Nick (2) Nick Nogueira (20) Nigel Eccles (147) Noah J (6) Ontario Emperor (73) Pat (8) Patrick Chanezon (2) pericles (768) Peter Ghosh (5) peterpoe (10) PMinze (28) Prashanth (14) ProfVegas (179) Punksolid (26) Qazwix (8) Rabid Cow (8) Rafi (16) Rami Taibah (476) ratward (33) Rene Rattur (69) ricardo (20) Ricardo.Borelli (9) Rich (37) Rick Turoczy (66) Ritu (675) River Song (30) rmg7344 (18) Rob Spectre (26) Robert (8) Romie (13) rony john (50) Ru> (15) rveguilla (5) Ryan (20) Sadashiv (9) sadiq kassamali (41) Sam Daams (5) Sarah Austin (2) Sarah Burris (9) sarahintampa (98) Scott Whigham (1) ScrewTheMan.com (26) SD (12) sean percival (14) Sean Shaghaghi (16) Sebastian Montini (10) Seth G (44) Sham (107) Shane (13) Shane Coffey (101) shedali (5) Sherry Chupka (1) siwaporn (468) slinetty (2) SMC (204) Stef Lewandowski (5) Stephen (12) Steve (24) Steve M. In a demonstration at Nvidia's NVISION show, the Mythbusters used paintball guns to illustrate the difference between current CPUs and future GPUs. The CPU's stand in was a single paintball gun that repositioned itself after every shot in order create a picture. But the GPU was represented by an 1,100 barrel gun, which paints the entire Mona Lisa in a single blast. It may look like a funhouse mirror and potato gun, but this sucker is actually a solar powered ice maker that requires no electricity, and can produce 14 lbs of ice per day. The vapor travels through pipes that come into contact an absorbent material, which cools when the sun goes down.
