Is Google Spreading Itself Too Thin? (13)

Google's search advertising is the best cash cow ever invented for the Internet. None of the well funded alternative search engine contenders are able to put a dent into that dominance. But all of Google's other experimentation, all that frenzied innovation from their assembled brains trust, seems to be hitting headwinds. A tiny Indian company called Zoho is giving them a run for their money in Web Office and the latest report indicates that Knol ...Shared by Amer (20) David (16) Dickson (15) drewenut (15) Justin (5) Mihalcea Razvan (132) paul (18) PoliticalNetNews (76) Pvw (13) Ritu (496) spsneo (6) Trisha Okubo (11) Varun Mahajan (9)- Pvw said: Google is to watch and the only one Microsoft is cared about!

So today I finally got to touch an Android phone. Google’s G1 Isn’t Pretty, But Is Impressively Disruptive (10)

As expected, Google and T-Mobile announced the G1 handset today, the first cell phone to use the Android operating system. At a press conference in New York, executives from Google, T-Mobile, and HTC – the device’s manufacturer – showed off the device and detailed its features. My initial reaction: the phone isn’t pretty, but the software and strategy shows enormous vision that is just as disruptive to the mobile industry as many of us thought ...Shared by Alec Peden (15) Benoit (34) imma (17) Jason (19) JC (21) JDevL (3) Pvw (13) Riccardo Campaci (4) Sadashiv (19) Sonny Cloward (20)- Riccardo Campaci said: Grandioso

What do CIOs Think About Social Media? - ReadWriteWeb (41)

The internal IT department, headed by the CIO, no longer acts as the gatekeeper for all new technology coming into the enterprise.
