This is an experiment and might have some bugs, but let's give it a whirl. Without further ado, here's PDN's Ultimate RSS Feed of Olympic Photo Blogs. It pulls ...Shared by Brian (18) Patty (50)Contribute comment

Nikon announces Coolpix P6000 with GPS (7)
permalinkNikon has announced its flagship compact, the Coolpix P6000. Built around a 13.5 megapixel, 1/1.72 inch sensor (roughly 0.41 square cm), the camera has a 4x zoom starting at a respectably wide-angle - equivalent to 28mm. It also records RAW files in a new NRW format that can be converted in-camera or with the forthcoming Windows version of View NX or Windows Imaging Component compatible applications. The other stand-out feature is the inclusion of built-in ...Shared by 1001 noisy cameras (132) 7noOna (36) Alan (19) Brian (18) dasmart (89) John Kiernan (5) mithrandi (15)

Torch of freedom burns brightly … in Beijing (1)
on FP Passport - blogging on global news, politics, economics, and ideas (50) permalinkFeng Li/Getty Images If you want to protest in favor of freedom and democracy during next month's Olympics, you have an ironically appropriate place to go: the Beijing World Park. The park -- which has replicas of the Statue of Liberty, the U.S. Capitol Building, and the White House, along with other world monuments such as the Sydney Opera House and the Eiffel Tower -- is one of three official protest zones that China has ...Shared by Brian (18)Contribute comment

The Sick and Dying (1)
on The Digital Trekker News (0) permalinkNorth of Chiang Mai, Thailand there is a little village that gives the refugee Karen people a chance to make a living simply by opening their homes to prying tourist. At first I thought this was really invasive, to have a complete stranger walk through their homes and take a picture of them doing their daily chores. But then as I thought about it and spoke to some of the residents, my opinions changed...to a ...Shared by Brian (18)Contribute comment
