jQuery.com Site Redesign (10)
on jQuery Blog (33) permalinkWe’ve just pushed out a brand new site redesign (for jQuery.com and all its sub-sites). This has been a long time coming and it feels great to get it out the door. New Homepage Easily the most contentious part of the redesign - but absolutely the most eye-catching. jQuery has long been driven by rock, even looking back to its original release which was heavily inspired by the always-excellent Devo. We shot for a catchy ...Shared by dryan (15) Huacn Lee (66) Jonathan (28) Patrick (75) Pierre (69) Rascator (14) Sebastian Werner (70) sorrycc (35) ta2 (79) Voyagerfan5761 (401)Contribute comment

on NETTUTS (729) permalinkWhen it comes to CSS, there are lots of resources and supposed “expert tips” on the web. These are from unproven, self-proclaimed “gurus” who have no street cred in the design world. While they may have valid points, how is one to know whether a CSS tip is a valid resource or just an untested hack? Instead of relying on unknown sources for advice, let’s look deeply into designers who have excellent design backgrounds and ...Shared by !&# (223) (jeff)isageek (332) Aaron (24) Aaron Thies (10) Adam (105) Adrian (72) Ahmed Bilal (21) AJ (1003) Akai (76) Al (94) Allan Haggett (76) Andrew Cornett (15) Andy (41) Andy Goh (7) Brandon (81) Brian (60) Bruno Campagnolo de Paula (242) Bryan Zug (20) Charles (140) cinefilo (17) cloneofsnake (29) Connor Wilson (5) Cubby Brendle (81) Dan (121) Dave (5) David (52) dew (90) Digg Boss (746) Dominic (24) Doug Adams (317) Doug Stewart (212) dryan (15) dtybywl (67) Elliott P. The Only Thing We Have To Fear Is Premature Standardization (18)
on Yahoo! User Interface Blog (297) permalinkThe web is made of open standards. This was a significant factor in the web’s displacement of proprietary application platforms. Openness is hugely attractive, so much so that the web dominates over competitors with better technologies. The difficult tradeoff that comes with a standards-based approach is that it is difficult to innovate. As a result, the basic technologies of the browser have been stalled for a decade. State Supreme Court rejects noncompete clauses (25)
on Daring Fireball (3578) permalinkThis is one area where Michigan has actually been fairly progressive for a long time. Basically the company would have to prove that a) the move wasn't beneficial to you at all and b) that the only reason for the move was to hurt the company you left. If moving to a competitor is beneficial to the individual in the least, even a signed non-compete clause would be thrown out as invalid.Shared by adam (29) Andrew Boardman (212) Atomic Chicken Ranch (17) Brian Newby (14) Bryce (147) Caleb Elston (107) Chad (407) Chad Dickerson (12) Chris Gansen (35) Chris Miller (20) Christian (69) Clint Ecker (280) Dan (31) dryan (15) Dtrizzle (15) Eric (56) Eric Mortensen (117) greenergrad (79) Greg (89) jon with no h (29) Justin Miller (12) Michael (224) nathos (66) R.
