Do you need to pick out a new color scheme, but don't know where to begin? If you're designing a web site or blog theme, finding just the right color palette is nearly as important as writing good code, but it can be a challenge for those of us who don't have any innate design skills. Reporters who own their jobs with an entrepreneurial spirit and energy will also own each story they do. What does story ownership mean? You generate your own story ideas. You decide the angle, who to talk to, where to gather information and what you do with it. As you gather information, you find and save any relevant links. You decide what other assets the story needs — video? a map? a pdf? a database? a ...Shared by David (60) howardweaver (2) Jared Silfies (5) Jo Wadsworth (2) Joyce (14) Martina Stewart (1) Meranda (0)Contribute comment - J-Source.ca (1)

Could Corporations Be The Real Push Behind Social Media? (23)

It’s an age old question – which came first? The chicken or the egg? This could very well be the same sort of question future historians could be asking when they look back to the period when social media and the tools to use it became an integral part of our society. The story was the first in a gathering wave of reports created originally for the Internet — reported and narrated by a producer, not on-camera talent — making air on the broadcast network. As such, it was one of those small events that may well mark a watershed toward a truly cross-platform world, with professionally produced content playing wherever the audience wants to see it and breaking down the wall of “TV network” vs. “online.”Contribute comment -
