Besides the slick and probably expensive editing designed to make Jerry Seinfeld look like the more awkward of the pair, there's not a whole lot of special effects in this clip. In fact, there's not really a whole lot of anything, including laughs, info or pimping of Vista. It's kinda like Seinfeld's really long, really rambling Amex Superman ad

The developer of Pull My Finger, an iPhone application, told MacRumors that Apple decided to reject his application from the App Store because it was of "limited utility to the broad iPhone and iPod touch user community". The puerile application generates different sounds of flatulence, and while the developer knows its not world-shattering, he (rightly) argues that it's only a bit of fun - and there's many other limited use apps in the App Store. ...

Filed under: Digital Cameras Canon just launched its teaser campaign dubbed, "Destined Evolution." There's no way at this point to know for sure, but that certainly looks like a compact, full-frame 5D body (pictured after the break) given the button locations, mode dial, and seemingly lack of a pop-up flash. Three years since the 5D was originally launched, Photokina suddenly can't come soon enough.Update: Another teaser shot with slightly more detail from Canon Japan posted ...

I’ve had several mac-savvy friends extol the virtues of NetNewsWire to me lately. About a year ago I tied my wagons to Google Reader because of its ubiquity and very good iPhone interface. As you can probably tell from the low post count, I’ve been under water with the day job lately. So this is exactly the sort of diversion I needed to get a break from the salt mines. I’ve downloaded NetNewsWire (again), installed ...

When we first heard that Microsoft was prepping an ad campaign starring Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld I was cautiously optimistic. Gates has a good sense of humor about himself, and Jerry might not be your cup of tea but he can be pretty funny now and again. The first ad has hit TV screens across the nation and... I don't think I even have words for it. I'm assuming they were going for the ...

We were sad to see Seinfeld sans-bee suit, and Gates is lacking in Costanza-isms, but we might just be looking at a beautiful friendship here. Video is after the break.[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]Continue reading Seinfeld and Gates pair up for intense shoe-fitting session, cryptic advertisementPermalink | Email this | Comments

The reviews are pouring out for Spore, recently released in Australia, and soon-to-be-released on Mac and PC in the States. Not surprisingly, considering the creators behind the game (Maxis), and the insane amount of hype behind it, Spore has received unanimously favorable reviews from the major gaming publications. IGN Australia gave it 9.2 out of 10, saying that the game will "make you acknowledge just how far we’ve come, and just how far we have ...

Dave Zatz has a post reporting what many DirecTV users have been wanting for years now: a (New) HD TiVo is coming to DirecTV! This is great, great news. I was a former DirecTV customer that left for Comcast back in 2005 when their HD offerings were slim and the HD DirecTiVo was already being phased out. I've heard nothing but horror stories about DirecTV's replacement HD DVR (the one made by NDS) and several ...
