Filed under: GPS Garmin continued its contribution to the general, incremental advancement of technology today by spitting out a handful of new satnavs destined to be suctioned to your windshield in the very near future. The company introduced updates to its low-end 2x5 series, including the 265T, 265WT and 275T. One great feature about using a Mac is that Mac developers often go the extra mile to make their app integrate into the system. For example, Keynote (as well as a number of other apps) has a media browser that lets you see your Aperture and iPhoto photo libraries. This makes it incredibly easy to create a presentation! Before you can use the media browser, make sure Aperture is set to generate previews for your ...

Articles are the most important element of every blog, so it's only right that we discuss how best to write a good quality article. “Enjoy your own life without comparing it with that of another.” - Marquis de Condorcet If you took the strengths of others, and compared them to your weaknesses, how do you think you’d size up? And do you think this would make you feel good? The funny thing is, this is what most of us do at one time or another — and some of us do pretty often. It’s a sure-fire recipe for a ...

Back when I was planning my wedding, I had a list of wedding songs in mind, but the problem was that I couldn't remember any of the artist names or song titles. So I started typing into the Google search box parts of the lyrics that I did remember -- and like magic, I saw suggestions with the artist name and song ...

This feature is amazing! I've used it for a while and I'm psyched to see it move to the main page. That will make it easier to combine with the still-Labs feature of keyboard shortcuts.

I've had this product set as my homepage for about 3 years and have raved about it since. Glad to see this thing finally get it's due. Great job to everyone that worked on this.

I like Google Suggest, but I am not sure I would want to see it every time I visit the Google homepage. If I need a search query auto-completed, I typically use the Google toolbar. Hopefully, Google will provide a way to disable the suggestions for those who prefer not to see them.

PwnageTool 2.0.3 is available. This version provides support for iPhone/iPod firmware 2.0.2 5C1, it has an updated Installer.app beta (b6) and contains a new .de localization for our large amount of German friends. The application SHOULD ONLY be downloaded as a .tbz file from our servers and should NOT be decompressed using the application called “the unarchiver” (this breaks permissions within PwnageTool) just use the standard OS X built in ‘Archive Utility’ to decompress. If you edit a form and click on "View responses", Google shows charts for questions with multiple choices and lists the first answers for free-style questions. The summaries are pretty basic but they reveal more information than the raw data. Hopefully, until the feature is officially launched, Google will make the summaries interactive and customizable and users will be able to publish them.To see all the ...

Over the past seven years I've been to Iceland five times to do landscape photography. It remains one of my all-time favourite locations. Though the summer season there is now drawing to a close, for many it will be the time to start considering a trip for next year. With that in mind Ben Hattenbach gives us a very good introduction to some of Iceland's best photographic locations in In Search Of Light – Across ...

rjptn posted a reply: Underexposing can help with color saturation, but at the expense of increasing noise in the shadow areas. I shoot a lot of landscapes and in most instances prefer a full histogram that I can balance with curves as I process the image. Using curves allows me to make independent adjustments based on the level of luminosity. This gives me a fully balanced tonal range, richly saturated colors and minimal image noise. ...
