Photo by Scott Bourne You can’t always carry a tripod. Sometimes, a monopod will do. Monopods (also called unipods) are usually lighter and smaller than tripods, but don’t offer the same level of stability. Monopods do offer some obvious advantages. They are less expensive than tripods and they are light enough to carry almost anywhere. They allow you to compose and shoot almost as fast as you would if you were hand-holding, where tripods require ...Shared by cgsheldon (159) Mathew (37)Contribute comment - First GameFly casting call in LA next Tuesday (1)

Filed under: Culture While a similar publicity stunt in LA went off with relatively little drama, it appears the Mercenaries 2 petrol giveaway in London was "irresponsible and dangerous," according to local residents. The BBC reports that traffic was gridlocked as drivers waited to get their £40-worth ($70) of gratis gas. The promotion started at 6:30AM and ran until police apparently shut it down. Local residents were quite upset about the traffic and honking the ...Contribute comment - Norway Post's new logo: Pok????ball or Marathon symbol variation? (1)

Swedish company Home Energy recently revealed an innovative wind turbine that spins in a spherical formation. Eschewing traditional rotors for a sleek orb structure, this beautiful rethinking of conventional wind turbine design utilizes the Venturi principle, which funnels wind within the turbine’s blades. The resulting spherical wind turbine features increased efficiency and lower noise levels - making it ideal for small scale energy needs such as personal home use. Best of all it’s called the ...Shared by Alex Dumitru (374) Alexander13 (493) Allan (14) Ananya Walia (771) Andrea Lazzari (6) Andrew the Organic Maven (20) Azeem (46) Babychen Mathew (388) Chris Johnson (5) Chuck Grohowski (27) David (64) Doug Adams (129) erbianchi (27) Erwin Tang Yew Hon (58) Evelien (10) George Brickner (78) hallie (22) Haris Nadeem (26) Jason Hoch (30) Javed (150) John Jorgensen (45) Jordan (411) Jorge (30) Kuanyin (15) LauraLee (214) Leena (1187) Lester (60) LUCCHINA (446) Mathew (37) mattress (9) Meise (4) Mike Perkins (90) MikeonTV (69) Nick Cobb (497) Nikollas Ordway (75) Nishith Prabhakar (43) Piyush Aryan (24) Rami Taibah (533) Ritu (754) Shaun Coates (9) th13rteen (159) Trevor Wermund (166) Trisha (18) twotwo (14) w0lfh0und (782) Will (10)- Will said: Clever, a spherical turbine. In fact, I recommend it.
