First of all I am not sure if we'll ever see something like Nokia N97 but those Chinese clonners have managed to clone a phone based on the patented Nokia form factor leaked last year and named as Nokia N97. Drawings extracted from the Nokia's patent applications clearly shows the slider phone concept with the swivel camera module on the top of the phone and the 8 MPX mark under the lens. Phone looks like ...Shared by juananguerrero (10) ro11z (7)Contribute comment - LEGO Backpack (3)

Shiny at IFA 2008: Rollei X-8 Sports is the Chuck Norris of cameras (1)

Duncan Geere writes... No, actually, it's not. Because nothing could possibly be as rugged than Chuck Norris. What it does rival is the Ricoh G600. When I say "rival" though, I actually mean "spec slightly worse in every category". There isn't any price yet, though, so maybe that's where it can win out. The Rollei X-8 Sports is lightweight (158g), resistant to moisture, dirt and cold, waterproof to 10m, and can take a 1m drop. ...Shared by juananguerrero (10)Contribute comment -

Canon just lost a lot of "internet cred". Apparently they are trying to essentially shut down Canonrumors.com. They have sent them a cease-and-desist letter. This is a sad move by Canon. It's fascinating that companies have thousands of employees, yet very few understand how online communities work or how the internet works. They are trying to effectively shut down a website that is part of their online community, mostly comprised of their own hardcore fans and ...Shared by Jos (1) juananguerrero (10)Contribute comment - Johan Ödmann fashion photography. Filed under: Digital Cameras Nikon's much-anticipated D90 has been popping up all over the place lately, but it hasn't actually shown its face -- in any non-Photoshop fashion, that is. That now looks to have changed, however, as the all-but-official picture above (and a few more) recently made an appearance on Target's website only to be unceremoniously yanked, but not before being grabbed by a helpful member of the dpreview.com forums. Yet another reason I need one of these things*. iHologram - iPhone application from David OReilly on Vimeo. The application works by assuming a constant viewing angle (35-45 degrees), typical for when the device is placed on a tabletop. The 3d scene's perspective is warped using anamorphosis, the same technique used in Hans Holbein's painting The Ambassadors. This application does the exact same but updates dynamically.so many smrt folks out there. *update-- apparently this is a ...Shared by juananguerrero (10)Contribute comment -
