TRUE2go: World's Smallest Glucose Meter Wins FDA Approval (2)
on
Medgadget (19) permalink
Home Diagnostics, maker of diabetes monitoring devices out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has received FDA approval for two new glucometers. One is especially interesting as the company managed to create a glucometer small enough to screw onto the top of a test strip bottle. More convenience comes from the TRUEtest™ Strips that identify themselves to the device, dubbed TRUE2go, so there is no need to enter strip codes into the glucometer. From the TRUE2go product ...Shared by chrismartintx (0) ehsan (20)Contribute comment - The Alphabet of Spam: 26 Tips for Infiltrating Inboxes (8)

The good news is that home, home-office, and small-business printers are getting richer in features and less expensive. The bad news? Even as those printers become more affordable, they seem to be more cheaply made and prone to malfunctioning more often. If you're lucky, you find a solid printer that lasts you a long time, but you could also wind up with so many problems that you go through printer after printer trying to find ...Shared by chrismartintx (0)Contribute comment -

Love Letter to Vista I wasn't sure exactly why everyone was so angry at Windows Vista until I actually tried to use it for an actual, real-world reason. This god dang thing sucks, y'all. Freak Peek sneak peek leaks, piques curiosity (6)

Filed under: Handhelds For many of us, the mere thought of toting yet another device in our pocket, purse, or belt holster is truly disgusting, particularly when said device resembles a primitive BlackBerry hewn from solid stone and does literally nothing but send and receive email for twenty bucks a month. For others, though, the Peek might be just what the doctor ordered. Laptop Magazine took a quick look at the $100 email-only brick, declaring ...Contribute comment - Solar Sunroof Recharges Car Battery and Temperature Control (1)

DIY: DIY Mason Jar Backyard Lights (30)

Add mood lighting to this weekend's evening backyard soiree with some Mason jars, LED lights, and coin cell batteries. The Evil Mad Scientists DIY site describes how to make your own temporary outdoor lighting with cheap supplies and easy assembly. Tape the LED cell to the battery to light it up, then mount that inside the jar top and set it out. This setup is temporary (and will burn out eventually if you don't disassemble) ...Shared by Adrian (19) Adrian L (9) AlphaPapa (11) Becky (3) Ben V (7) Brian (26) chrismartintx (0) Christopher (51) coonhnd (12) Creeva (41) David (20) iammikeb (18) ja | castillo (6) Jade (8) James Tenniswood (3) Jeffrey (12) Jonna (8) lnewcomer (38) mccronin (6) Punksolid (26) Rob (0) rOckY (154) Roger (9) Ryan (46) shadowstorm (6) Shinn Photography (4) Tim Bertram (3) tybeck (4) Wes Brown (11) wolfie toutomoutochan (23)Contribute comment -
Would You Opt Into a Four Day Workweek? [Reader Poll] (22)
on
Lifehacker (7429) permalink
In an effort to save money on operating costs, lots of cities are switching over to a four-day workweek: instead of working five eight-hour days, employees work four ten-hour days with Fridays off. While this new plan offers longer weekends and less time commuting, some workers don't like the longer days and irregular schedule. If you had a chance to opt into a four-hour workweek, would you do it? If you had the choice, would ...Shared by Adrian (19) Allen (11) Andy (4) Casey (0) chrismartintx (0) Darin R.
