Ryan Adams is one of the most prolific musicians in modern music. In the last eight years he averaged a release of one full studio album per year. In one year alone, he released three albums! Since 2000, he has contributed to dozens of other albums and movie soundtracks. One night I stumbled on one of his televised performances, which involved a question and answer session with the audience afterwards. One fan asked how he ...

We know we're supposed to wear bike helmets, but we're of the mindset that we look cooler bleeding out of our ears/skulls/nose than donning a plastic hat. Now Yakkay has released bike helmets that are cleverly hidden beneath only semi-douchey headgear. The result is that you look a bit childish in an oversized hat (like wearing your dad's suit or something), but we're sure that at least a few of you out there could pull ...

Those gals looking for the best way to score a business man that's a little too attached to his BlackBerry should look no further than these BlackBerry earrings. Not only does it constantly remind him that he should check his email, it shows that you're into his techno lust, which is hard to do short of actually outfitting your own apartment in gadgets. For $19, it's the cheapest way to attract nerds in a coffee ...

According to Businessweek, the solution to the iPhone 3G's chipset issues could be easier than most of us probably expected. Apparently, Apple set up the Infineon chip to demand more of a 3G signal than was necessary, which resulted in a switch back to the slower network if there are too many people in the area using an iPhone at the same time. This involves an issue with software on the chip which can probably ...

CNBC reports that Netflix' shipping systems have been at least partially broken since Tuesday. They managed to ship nothing on Tuesday, half of what they were supposed to on Wednesday, and nothing today. What's the deal? Apparently the outage affects 1/3 of their customers, to whom Netflix is trying to figure out the best way to refund some cash. They're still not sure what the root of the problems are, so in essence, they have ...

Looking to save water? Say hello to the EcoJohn, a toilet that uses no water. Instead, after you do what you do, you "close the lid and a large, screw-like auger turns and carries the waste to the burn chamber where the propane burner then bakes urine, feces and paper into ashes." Wow, that's horrifying! This thing isn't even classified as a toilet. It's classified as a barbecue. If you're looking for a sure-fire way ...

Nintendo has banned Shigeru Miyamoto from talking about his hobbies, fearing that The Next Big Gaming Thing could be guessed by competitors by just listening carefully to the game wizard. Apparently, all the latest Nintendo hits came from Zeldameister's personal projects and obsessions, from Brain Training to Wii Fit, so his musings on banana pancake recipes and cricket farming had to stop sooner than later to protect the company's future. TmoNews claims to have scooped some succulent intel on the HTC Dream launch. While former hearsay had the Android-based smartphone delayed until 2009, current rumor has it that T-Mobile customers will be able to pre-order the phone on September 17th for a lot less than its (also rumored) $400 price. These customers will score the phone for $150 (with contract, we're sure) whereas new customers will be able to purchase the handset sometime in October ...

Filed under: Wearables If you hadn't heard by now, Speedo's new LZR Racer swimsuit has caused a respectable amount of controversy for itself in the run-up to the Olympics. The innovative, NASA-aided design cinches up on a swimmer and reduces drag by as much as 10 percent, and detractors claim Speedo has thrown a bit of buoyancy in there for good measure. FINA, who has the last word on such matters, has approved the suit, ...

There are plenty of RC cars and motorcycles out there today, so what Silverlit did with this 1:12 scale red racer is throw on a working driver and let him have some say in where the sportbike is going. Thanks to an on board gyro, the rider actually leans from side-to-side, just like those crazy guys I see whipping around European courses on Speedvision. The $96 racer also has an active throttle control and spring ...

Google StreetView has been a peculiar bird since its inception earlier this century. It's been blamed for voyeurism, the trampling of privacy rights, and other infractions, but then again it's also been known to capture a few nose pickers or two—so it's a wash as far as I'm concerned. Today, we received word it has some hot new imagery on its hands, literally. As in, this burning house on Eagle Point Drive in sunny Sherwood, ...
