PureText Strips Formatting from Your Clipboard When You Paste [Featured Windows Download] (21)
on
Lifehacker (7512) permalink
Windows only: Free system tray utility PureText adds a global keyboard shortcut to your system to paste text into any application without formatting. PureText strips all of the rich formatting from text—like bold, italics, color, alignment, margins, and more—so that what you're left with is just the plain text (hence the name). If you're all too familiar with the Paste Special -> Unformatted Text feature in Microsoft Word, PureText's simple shortcut—which defaults to Win+V—will save ...Shared by Alan Kelon Oliveira de Moraes (17) Bene (3) Bernardo (11) Chuck Falzone (8) D.J. Startup Delayer Staggers Your Startup Apps for Smoother Loading [Featured Windows Download] (66)

Windows only: Free application Startup Delayer staggers the applications that launch when you login to Windows by user-defined increments. The reason: To mitigate the common startup bottleneck caused by all of your startup applications fighting to run at the same time. Firefox only: Mozilla Labs unveils the first prototype of a natural language web service connector called Ubiquity, a Firefox extension that adds a command panel to any web page. - Chris said: This is looking very, very cool. I already heavily use bookmark keywords in FF, but this takes is much further to allow "scriptable bookmarks". Managed to put together my first simple Ubiquity command to look up Japanese words in a translation dictionary in about 10 minutes following the tutorial, and it sounds like more complex commands won't be too much harder to write.
