the artist, if we start development on the remaining features now, we can make the IGF deadline in two months.Dave: “That’s why you’re no longer the producer. Two weeks! Let’s do it in two weeks! Hey!!!".At that point, "The Final Countdown" played from my computer speakers "magically". He threw 100 pennies at me as well.On a more serious note, we only have 2 months until the IGF deadline. Can we do it?Answer: Yes, probably...

Now that Apple has enjoyed some success with its App Store, smartphone manufacturers are starting to realize that having such a service is a worthwhile endeavor. An App Store with the right ingredients for success not only makes people want to buy the smartphone more than others, but it offers a new revenue-sharing opportunity that could become extremely lucrative. Perhaps that’s why Microsoft’s new store for Windows Mobile 7, called Skymarket, leaked today. And it’s ...

wow this article is just wrong. RIM supports mobile downloads but definitely does not have a single app store. And RIM's SDK is really more powerful than Apple's. can't believe everything on the web huh

Filed under: Cellphones, Gaming, Peripherals For better or worse, it looks like the so-called iControlPad is edging closer to reality -- or at least something really similar. According to a new image (and our limited Spanish translation skills), Belkin is actually looking to produce an App Store gaming controller, though we're still not entirely convinced that what we're seeing is legitimate. Whatever the case, the JoyPod would somehow, someway provide users who purchased Super Monkey ...

xobs, a developer at chumby, showed me one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while on a chumby: a full port of Quake. He got the whole thing running under SDL and hacked up the event layer so that the accelerometer (tilting) is used to move in the game, the bend switch is used to fire, and a touch anywhere on the screen is used to jump/activate items. So now you can hug ...

I'll tell you a secret, Zero Gear is not a kart racing game. That might be surprising if you have been reading this blog for a while. All of the images and videos we have released so far make it look like a kart racing game.If it isn't a kart racing game, what is it? It is many games disguised as a kart racer. Yes, we do have a racing game mode. We also have two ...

We love concept vehicles here at Inhabitat - not because we hope that they will be manufactured at some point, but because we’re impressed by the innovative thinking behind them. Take the 888 by Oskar Johansen, which looks like any other slick two-seater - until you dig a little deeper. It turns out this solar-electric super-car is capable of a unique feat of imaginative engineering: it can shrink!

Despite a weak battery and questions about how fast it connects to 3G networks, some time in the next week more than 6 million iPhone 3Gs will be in people’s hands around the world. What that means is that the second generation device has outsold the original iPhone just seven weeks after going on sale. They actually may already have done so. It took Apple nearly a year to sell 6 million first generation iPhones. ...
