At Google, we have a saying: “launch early and iterate.” While this approach is usually limited to our engineers, it apparently applies to our mailroom as well! As you may have read in the blogosphere, we hit "send" a bit early on a comic book introducing our new open source browser, Google Chrome. We will be launching the beta version of Google Chrome tomorrow in more than 100 countries. So why are we launching Google Chrome? ...Shared by [BLT]FQX (60) Aaron (5) aaron (99) Aaron (2) Abhishek (6) Adam (14) Adam Fuhrer (53) Aelle (24) Akeem Williams (11) Alan Dean (32) Alberto (23) Alex (19) Alex (8) Alex France (138) Alexander13 (353) Alexandru Burciu (18) alfred westerveld (24) Amir (8) Amish Schulze (16) Andrew (27) Andrew Girdwood (33) Andrew Hughes (25) Andrew Schott (48) Andrew Terry (25) Andrew Walkingshaw (13) Andrey (4) andy bons (4) Angus (42) ani625 (60) Antoine (27) Antoine van Dinter (6) Anurag (3) Appu (17) Aren Grimshaw (2) atomantic (1) atul (70) azin (7) b (23) Babychen Mathew (251) Ben (4) Berker (6) bkim (2) Bob Hazlett (5) Bob Lee (15) bombox (6) Borchers (8) Brajeshwar (20) Brettsky (3) Brian (22) Brian (26) Brian Auer (20) Brian Daniel Eisenberg (7) Bryan (8) Bryan Hughes (3) C.K. - Chris said: So many questions! With its whizzy new V8 JS engine, will Google sites (Maps etc) begin to demand Google Chrome for 'premium' features? Will it support the huge library of Mozilla plugins? (No way I can switch camps without Rikaichan for Japanese translation). And can we trust Google not to mine our data to serve ads (well, more than they do already)? Either way, very interesting times ahead!

It’s West Indian Carnival Day! (1)

Labor Day means one thing in Brooklyn: the West Indian Carnival, which takes place today along Eastern Parkway. The parade starts at 11AM near Rochester and Eastern Parkway and doesn’t end until 6PM. The wrap up point is at Grand Army Plaza, and there’s a stage at the Brooklyn Public Library. That would make for about three miles of marchers, bands, floats and vendors, not to mention several million spectators. In a word: Happy Labor ...Shared by Borchers (8)Contribute comment - Obama…Adama? (1)
