Nintendo Announces Dual Camera DSi (2)

Wired: Gadget Lab (151) permalink
Nintendo has announced a new "complementary" version of its DS handheld. The DSi will sell alongside the current DS, and gains a slew of new features, most notably two cameras -- one in the back of the case for taking pictures and one below the screen for grabbing snaps of the user. We're sure the DS homebrew scene will come up with some kind of video-VoIP solution, but we guess that Nintendo will be using ...Shared by BillDeys (2) William Spaetzel (19)Contribute comment -

If you're like us, you find yourself screaming at the screen whenever a movie character does something stupid. The obvious remark is yelling, "Don't go upstairs!" to the horror film vixen. But which one of us hasn't thrown a pillow at the television st the scene where the secret-holding horseback-riding postman passes a flustered and scared Romeo. That movie, and a few others, have been re-shot by College Humor staff in "If All Movies Had ...Contribute comment -

Do URLs Matter to Normal People? (6)

As web developers, we all care about URLs. When Google complained about URL rewriting, many balked. We may work late to get everything just so, but URLs don’t matter a bit to most people. When I ask my Dad to go to a specific URL in his browser he says, “I don’t use a browser. I just use my email and eBay.” A friend’s mom thinks Yahoo is the internet. jQuery is a lightweight open source JavaScript library (only 15kb in size) that in a relatively short span of time has become one of the most popular libraries on the web. A big part of the appeal of jQuery is that it allows you to elegantly (and efficiently) find and manipulate HTML elements with minimum lines of code. jQuery supports this via a nice "selector" API that allows developers to query for HTML elements, and ...Shared by .mau.
