Man does prison look like fun in the Philippines! You don't have The Sisters trying to rape you in the Shawshank laundry. It's like West Side Story there! Any disagreements or problems are solved with the power ... of the dance! Yet another video of the inmates at Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center has surfaced on the world wide web. Here is the latest. A stirring rendition of a song called Low. While these ...

This article about NYC drinking culture is entertaining, but also very revealing. “I think it’s normal for people our age, out of college, to learn how to function with a hangover,” Ms. Brady (“Boozeabeth”) said. “It’s like when people have a baby, and they say they haven’t slept in weeks. C’est la vie.” So, to simplify: Hangover : 20- Somethings in New York :: New Baby : 20-Somethings Everywhere Else Yup, that about sums it ...

So Timbaland-- producer to the stars, seer of the future, you know his steelo-- recently sat down with the folks at MTV News for a little chat about a forthcoming project. It seems Tim's got his eye on crafting some beats for his old friend and frequent collaborator Jay-Z's next album. And then, when he's done with those, crafting some more. Until Timbaland and Jay-Z have made an entire album together. See! Of course, it's ...

I used to think my cat, Jack, was very smart because he plays fetch. He’s pretty demanding about playing fetch. Then I got Fenwick, and he seemed kind of goofy and stupid, but he started playing fetch, too. So I’m thinking, wow, I raise really smart cats. But then a friend mentioned that hers plays fetch, too. And someone else said the same thing. Now I think they’re just evolving. I sleep with one eye ...

(images via: Banksy.co.uk) The life of the street artist is, by necessity, one of anonymity. In many of the world’s cities, the most noticeable and breathtaking pieces of art aren’t created by world-renowned talents. They are created by the unknown street artist under cover of darkness. We never see them and they are known only by their tagging pseudonyms. (image via: Londonist) UK-based street artist Banksy is a notable half-exception to this rule. His work ...

Watching the home run derby, and had some thoughts about the Yankee Stadium Lovefest: 1) The stadium isn't closing today.....there's still a half year left..... 2) really, Arod's 500th homerun is the best homerun at Yankee Stadium? I'm not a Yankee fan, but I'd think that they could find a much more fitting end to their "Homeruns at Yankee Stadium montage". Maybe Reggie Jackson...Roger Maris...or, to stick it to Red Sox fans, Aaron F'n Boone? ...

Ugh, I completely agree. The gratuitous love fest for Yankee Stadium was so annoying, I almost changed the channel before the derby even started.

Back when Trent Reznor was still signed to Universal Music, he tested out his own form of a promotional campaign for his latest album: he started hiding USB keys with songs off of the album in the bathroom at his various concerts. Fans would find the USB keys, bring them home and upload the songs -- making it into a huge event, generating much more interest around the album. Now that he's independent and testing ...

Posted by Ola Rosling, Product ManagerA few weeks ago we heard about a project Radiohead was working on. The band was making a new video, but they weren't using any cameras, just lasers and data. As you might imagine, we were intrigued. The song is called “House of Cards,” from Radiohead’s recent “In Rainbows” album. In this new video, there were no cameras on set. Instead, two scanning technologies were used to capture 3D images. Geometric ...
