On the south coast of the United Kingdom, a small IT team is making a big splash with their Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 solution for schools. Starting with their own school, Dave Coleman and his team designed a solution that was eagerly adopted by students, staff, and parents. The team followed this success by adding hosted sites for four additional schools. Then they hit the road to show the 63+ secondary schools in the ...

Body: So we launched the ISPA web site back on the 16th of July. We have seen a tremendous outpouring of emails and it appears our goals were in line with the community. We were a bit rushed to get the site up and thanks to some quick and great branding work from Heather Waterman we were able to put out something that was pleasing to the eye. Most of you that know me well ...

Yesterday, I listed Twenty Highly Rated Web 2.0 and Enterprise 2.0 Bloggers. Below I provide the next twenty on the list. The inbound links reported by Google and the Technorati ratings and the number of reported blog reactions are provided and they are listed in order of Technorati blog reactions. I used Technorati inbound links for the order since Technorati ratings were not available for all of the bloggers. The Google reports of inbound links ...

I talked with a Jive Clearspace customer last week about adoption struggles (I get to do this for a living now, and frankly, I’m in my dream job). They have what I think is probably a very typical adoption obstacle. Actually, two very typical obstacles. The first one was a theme at the Enterprise 2.0 Conference in Boston in June 2008. The CEO loves social software, worker bees are adopting it like crazy, but mid-level ...

Enterprise 2.0 is probably one of these buzz words you have heard a lot lately. It is also a term which is surrounded by confusion. The simplest definition of Enterprise 2.0 would probably be "...the application of Web 2.0 technologies in the enterprise." . This is similar to the definition which has been put forward by AIIM in one of their studies recently. Enterprise 2.0: A system of web-based technologies that provide rapid and agile ...

The video above shows a user interface being bucket tested by Google to select (probably randomly determined) users. Earlier today we showed a screen shot of the interface and a video of the search history, recorded by Adrian Pike, the CTO of startup Tatango. This new video, however, shows the full Google search experience with a very Digg-like interface. Users vote search results up or down - a down vote makes it dissapear with a ...

There are some secret projects in Google, maybe this is one of those. I know they have a whole bunch of ideas for the next generation of google. By the way, I've seen this "tatango" CTO for several times. This is pretty good marketing and SEO strategy.
