Google In Negotiations To Acquire Digg For “Around $200M" (460)

TechCrunch (7352) permalink
Google’s on and off negotiations with Digg have been back on in a big way for the last six weeks, we’ve heard from multiple sources inside of Google, and the two companies are close to a deal that will bring Digg under the Google News property. The acquisition price is in the $200 million range, says one source. We first wrote about the Google-Digg negotiations in March. Despite a vigorous denial by Digg CEO Jay ...Shared by 2Bad (19) AaronTN (34) abhi (2) Adam (17) Adam (18) adam flight (4) Adam Ramshaw (22) Adam Singer (6) Aditya Wirayudha (1) Adrian Bacon (20) AJ (189) Alberty Pascal (5) Alex (1) Alex (17) Alex Mitchell (0) Alexis (23) Aleyda (18) Ali T (20) Ali Tehrani (1) Allan Ruiz (6) Amer (9) André R. Forget Crowd-Sourced T-shirts: Print Objects In 3D (80)
on
TechCrunch (7352) permalink
So first there was the online creation of pretty simple items like business cards and T-shirts - businesses which cut out the old middle-man way of doings things. Soon there will be a way to create and “print” objects in 3D on a mass scale, and the first of these is starting to arrive. Netherlands-based Shapeways is launching a private beta of a community for consumers wanting to create real objects. Eventually you’ll be able ...Shared by Aaron Ross Powell (10) Adam (7) Alan (1) Archit T (16) b-rad (14) Bananalope (8) Brit (24) BritCrit (32) bussiere (43) Camtron 9000 (20) CB (13) Ching (21) Chris (4) Chris. Help build dead simple tablet PC! (315)

I’m tired of waiting - I want a dead simple and dirt cheap touch screen web tablet to surf the web. Nothing fancy like the Dell latitude XT, which costs $2,500.

This week’s Workspace of the Week is hotrocket’s Pixar desk: Seeing that Wall-E was released a couple weeks ago, I wanted to highlight this organized Pixar wall, and the very empty desk that sits in front of the shrine. This reminds me of the very organized memorabilia office we featured a while back.
