Six Apart Buys, Kills Pownce (2)

In a move that feels more like a cruel prank than a financial strategy, Six Apart has purchased Pownce--only to shut the company down. The blogging company acquired the micro-blogging site for an undisclosed sum before announcing that it would shut Pownce in a mere two weeks. Venture Beat suspects that the purchase was made so that Six Apart could bring some of the brainpower from Pownce on board. Pownce will be offering export tools ...Shared by AdamB (20) Zach (6)- Zach said: BURN!

Duck Huntin’ Shirt Is Packing (2)
permalinkBy Andrew Liszewski Like the NerdyShirts site says; “Keep an NES light gun packed away in case you ever come across that laughing dog again.” Personally I prefer something with a little more firepower like the Super Scope from the Super Nintendo days, but the classic NES lightgun is probably easier to carry around. First let me say that this has nothing to do with me, but given my interest in all things financial and the government during this financial crisis, I read with interest the Office of Inspector General’s Report to Congress regarding the SEC. The SEC deserves credit for casting such a critical eye at itself. It should happen more often in government. First the humorous side of the report, the SEC apparently has issues with Porn ...Shared by Bill (29) Drew Olanoff (14) Eric Lewis (1) James D Kirk (0) Peter Warnock (0) Tim Probst (5) Zach (6)Contribute comment - Shifting Careers - Making Artistic Careers Lucrative - NYTimes.com (1)

By Andrew Liszewski I have absolutely no idea why anyone would want to fry an egg in the shape of a classic six-shooter, but who am I stand in the way of someone’s dreams? This stainless steel mold features a collapsible handle for lifting the stencil when it’s hot, and presumably it can also be used for cutting gun-shaped cookies or pastries. Perfect for that NRA brunch you’ve been planning. It’s available from LatestBuy Australia ...- Zach said: I need it.
