Nick Carr's difficulty in understanding my argument that cloud computing is likely to end up a low-margin business unless companies find some way to harness the network effects that are the heart of Web 2.0 made me realize that I use the term "network effects" somewhat differently, and not in the simplistic way many people understand it. Here's Nick: Let's stop here, and take a look at the big kahuna on the Net, Google, which ...Shared by Adriana Lukas (0) Alex (0) Amr Awadallah (0) Andreas (0) Andy J (0) Boris Mann (3) Bwana (3) Choosenick (1) chris arkenberg (0) Crutis (2) dan (5) Daniel J. You pull out your laptop, fire up Firefox, and go to your favorite review site. It automatically deduces your location, and serves up some delicious suggestions a couple blocks away and plots directions there. In order for this to be a ...Shared by aaron (0) ardactn (0) Asmo Halinen (0) Bruce Boughton (0) Christian (0) CT27STF (1) Daniel W.
