Sarah Palin Witch-Mother? (1)

Uh, no. Stuart Buck writes:One weird bit from a New Republic post on McCain's choice of Sarah Palin (it seems to be credited to professor Alan Wolfe, but surely he wouldn't say something that is without evidence): Sarah Palin named two of her children after witches, once took drugs, and refused to sign a bill forbidding domestic benefits for gay couples. It's unclear where this 'witches' claim is coming from, although I suspect it's due to ...Shared by Jeff Q (2)Contribute comment -

In this Palin is smarter than Obama, Biden and, yes, McCain combined. Frankly, when it comes to knowledge about oil, which most seem to agree is a major national security and domestic issue, Palin knows more than the rest. I have been floating around the GOP Convention pre-events and talking to people about Sarah Palin. At the meeting of the Convention's Rules Committee meeting, I have heard that women on the committee and female staff were so excited and moved that they literally started crying. The amount of energy from all parts of the coalition here seem very excited. Over the last 24 hours, I have started to hear some good, positive, fact-driven arguments ...Shared by Jeff Q (2)Contribute comment -

How can you use 40-hours of vacation time to give yourself an uninterrupted twelve day vacation? Carefully. Late last year we discovered that MySpace cofounder Tom Anderson, arguably the most popular individual on the Internet with 240+ million MySpace friends (he is added by default to every MySpace account) was actually 37 years old, not the 32 that he continues to claim on his MySpace page.
