Evelio Mattos of Design Packaging Inc has recently created the structural packaging for a box designed to hold and protect 1 cupcake. It does so with it's platform insert that holds the cupcake in place, it is one piece, and the entire box folds completely flat when not in use for shipping and storage. Very cool! He was kind enough to provide the dieline to our Dieline readers! Just click on the link below to ...

Day 7: The EndThe my final day without my bike, everyone rode the subway to work. All four of us decided today was not a day to ride a bike. Almost all of Manhattan realized it was day not to ride bikes in solidarity of my final day without a bike (it could also have been the rain).Another subway ride, another delayed train. Paying $2 to be late to work is not worth the pain. ...

I had to try these 'cause I saw it on Serious Eats...My roommates and I were craving soda and I happened upon these bags hanging at the bodega. I picked one up and my roommate pointed at me, "Hey! You just shared an article about that on your Google Reader!"Yeahhh, I did.I much prefer the lighter puffs of pork rind as opposed to these salty, fatty little chicken bits. These would be really good crushed ...

Daylight's For the Birds was some incarnation of Claudia Deheza and other previous members of On! Air! Library. I think she got preggers two years ago and took a break, letting ethereal Amanda Garrett take the lead. Myspace evidence hints that Daylights are working on another album (or maybe Jay Giampetro just likes Santas on soundboards and disco balls). Deheza and sister Alejandra have re-emerged at ghostly Internationals's newest: School of Seven Bells. I took ...

Police officers in Scotland were disappointed to learn that the people they intended to arrest for growing marijuana were growing an equally innocuous, but unfortunately legal, plant -- tomatoes. Uniformed officers burst into Lulu Matheson's house in the village of Shieldaig, Wester Ross, kept her son Gus in his bedroom for two hours, handcuffed her grandson Stephen, and turned the house upside down. The high-profile afternoon raid involved three squad cars, seven officers and sniffer ...

Filed under: Analysis / Opinion, Audio, Odds and ends, Apple, ipod shuffle This seems pointless and yet brilliant at the same time, somehow -- iPhone Savior has concept pictures of the iPod shuffle extended out into a bracelet. You can already find lots of straps and wristbands for the shuffle, and with that clip on it, it's designed to be jewelry anyway, so why not carry the premise out to its conclusion, right? It's almost perfect, ...

Everyone knows that funk music is stupid. Slap bass, on the other hand, is kinda so stupid that it’s becoming awesome again. Check out AlfredoBassInYourFace playing the Seinfeld theme song on a bass guitar: Pretty fresh. Here’s the wikipedia entry on the theme music of Seinfeld. Don’t bother clicking - It’s wicked boring. They guy who made it did it with the “slap bass” setting on a keyboard. I don’t respect that. The thing that ...
