Create A Free US iTunes Account (20)

gHacks technology news (14) permalink
The iTunes software is performing a check when a user creates a new account to verify that the address of the user and his payment address are related. A credit card for instance would have to be from the United States as well if the user would select the United States as his country of residence. It is therefor not possible to create a US iTunes account the “normal” way unless US address and credit ...Shared by Alex (0) ani625 (7) Chu Yeow (4) dingyi (1) Doug McCaughan (0) edoardo (0) Flavio Ensiki (0) iuri (0) jer_c (1) Joop Laan (0) Jurrian ten Hove (1) Justin Von Strasburg (0) Kristian Salonen (1) lmjabreu (1) Malvin (0) Marcelo Pinheiro (0) Matteo (16) Richard Clyne (0) ryan (0) tewfiq (0)Contribute comment -

who says librarians (and teachers) don’t like tags (1)

delicious blog (0) permalink
Over the past year or two, I’ve been delighted to notice educators and librarians embracing Delicious both as a way to share bookmarks with each other and a way to help their students and patrons learn. This makes perfect sense to me as a college student because I bookmark and tag references for all my projects and I’d love to see similar collections from my professors and classmates. I don’t know who first realized the ...Shared by Joop Laan (0)Contribute comment -

(Running notes from the TED2008 conference in Monterey, California. Second session.) The second session of TED2008 asks "What is our place in the universe?" and it cogently opens with a sneak preview of an amazing piece of technology under development at Microsoft: the World Wide Telescope, a powerful new web-based tool for exploring the universe (for the geeks among you, this is the unnamed piece of new tech that made blogger Robert Scoble weep recently). ...Shared by Joop Laan (0)Contribute comment -

If you are looking for some stock videos to add to your blog or Website, Mochila just added about 800 clips from the BBC Motion Gallery, the licensing arm of the BBC. It doesn’t include news clips unfortunately, but there are plenty of science and culture videos. If you need a nicely produced video of striped fish or how to make a Singapore Sling, you can find it on Mochila and embed it on your ...Shared by Joop Laan (0)Contribute comment
