I like this idea, the Alphabet Ice($30), you can use your name's letter to know from cups. The Alphabet Ice trap made out of black silicone, pretty much everything can be turned into letters here... The set includes three trays for the entire alphabet.

I have lived with Muslims for over 15 years of my life. I have come to love them as people and as a unique culture. Do I agree with their religion and practices entirely, no. But, then I don’t entirely agree with many other faiths but my own. Isn’t that what makes my faith my own. Do I think all or most Muslims are out to get me, lol, heck no! I live in a ...

Great news, JPGers! We've just opened *four* new themes, all of which are sponsored by the ever-creative Current TV! For those who don't know, Current TV is the only 24/7 cable and satellite television network and Internet site produced and programmed in collaboration with its audience. Basically, Current is right up JPG's alley -- we are all about member creation and collaboration, of course. At any rate, Current is known for cutting-edge topics and creative ...

First previewed here last August, Annie Leibovitz: At Work is finally wrapped in those little brown Amazon fold-boxes and hitting doorsteps everywhere.I have just spent the afternoon with my copy, which I pre-ordered when it first became available. It is a departure from the previous picture books she has published, the main difference being much more back story to go along with the photos. What to ExpectOriginally, I expected to get a more nuts-and-bolts, gear-and-technique type ...

Time hits us this week with this photo-illustration showing Barack Obama in full Franklin Delano Roosevelt get-up. Seems obvious... So obvious that the same Barack-FDR concept showed up as an illustration in last week's New Yorker: (Time cover: Photo-illustration for Time by Arthur Hochstein and Lon Tweeten. F.D.R.: AP; Obama: John Gress–Reuters. New Yorker illustration: Richard Thompson.)Meanwhile, not to be outdone, this week's Newsweek cover compares Obama to Abraham Lincoln! There's also this illustration with ...

It used to be that every three years, workers would get brand new computers from their businesses' tech departments. But for many those days are over. Many workers haven't been issued a new computer in years. The reason: Delaying computer upgrades is one of the easiest ways for a tech department to cut its budget. How about you working with a four-year-old ThinkPad with its maddeningly slow response times and out-of-date software ...Now that the economy ...

If you think that selling photos through an art gallery is difficult, spare a thought for buyers. Although a few have the budget to pay four-figure sums and more for photographs they like, there’s a much bigger pool of photography lovers who’d like to pay a smaller sum for an attractive photograph that would just look good on their landing wall. There’s an even bigger group who would like to buy photo-based calendars that don’t ...

ISO 400. Very light processing, and no noise reduction, applied to the original raw file. By Ken Tanaka Christopher Hsee et al. may have demonstrated that specifications can be powerful camera selection influences. But it's also possible, albeit less likely, for higher specs to negatively prejudice selection. To some degree that’s what prompted my thumbs-down reaction to Edward Taylor’s excellent October 15 first impressions of the new Canon Powershot G10. I had become somewhat prejudiced ...

Just released, Google SketchUp 7 (for PC and Mac) is free and features some impressive-looking new features. Here's the obligatory Google YouTube announcement for us the ADDled generation: Most relevant for Google Earth users is the much tighter integration with the Google 3D Warehouse: You can search the warehouse from within SketchUp and import models directly. Sharing and and giving credit for your work is now also much more granular. SketchUp 7 also introduces Dynamic ...

On the left, you see President Elect Barack Obama's website. On the right, that's not just Obama's site localized in Hebrew...well, maybe it sort of is. It's the campaign site of Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu (who is running for Prime Minister of Israel). Everything has been copied, from the colors to the donation areas to the integration of social networking platforms. And no one is denying that fact, either. From one of Netanyahu's top advisors: ...
