Windows XP only: Free system utility Phlox has a single, small purpose, but it's one that's caused certain people to hunt down free ways to get Vista's features into XP. That feature is a smarter renaming scheme, one that doesn't make you re-type the file's extension just to change its name. Hit the F2 key on a file, and it does its advertised job. As the FreewareGenius blog points out, however, it uses about 5MB ...

Andrew Fogg saw a preview of the integration at Google's offices and found that Gmail and Google Calendar will add offline support in approximately 6 weeks. In the past months, Google accidentally enabled the option in Google Calendar and some users saw the dialog illustrated below: "To view and edit ...

veeeery interesting. Must make sure I check back in 2 years to see how close to the mark this was :-). VDI is nice and all but what I really want right now is item number 4. Apps are just too much of a pain. There are plenty of apps that we have to use that I can forsee will NEVER bother updating to become compatible with app virtulisation or streaming. The well behaved apps I have no need to virtualise yet package seamlessly in most cases, but the difficult apps are also the ones that just don't work when packaged for streaming.
