The iTunes software is performing a check when a user creates a new account to verify that the address of the user and his payment address are related. A credit card for instance would have to be from the United States as well if the user would select the United States as his country of residence. It is therefor not possible to create a US iTunes account the “normal” way unless US address and credit ...

To help you out, the gadget nuts at Gizmodo have put together an excellent guide to buying an HDTV like a pro. For ...

In addition to playing the roles of Helen and Steve, two wealthy individuals having an affair, Joan Collins and director Steven Berkoff also play Sybil and Les, Steve's working-class wife and the private detective she hires to follow her husband. Poking fun at both upper- and lower-class British society, this biting satire features snobbish characters reciting ridiculous dialogue in rhyming couplets.

Here are some of the photos I took while I was out in Houston. All of these pictures were from south of Houston around the Galveston area. These areas got hit the hardest from the hurricane.Neither of these two homeowners own this boat but this is where it ended up.Obviously, this travel trailer should be upright and not on laying on its side.Yep, there is still a boat attached to the mast. It's just underwater. This ...

We already confirmed back in May after Marvel's announcement of The First Avenger: Captain America that the film would be set in WWII. But an actual plot synopsis beyond that hasn't ever been released. In the latest issue of Production Weekly, a new full plot synopsis for the project was published. I'm a bit hesitant to trust this magazine, since they seem to have a lot of information on a project that's very far out, ...

For those rebuffed at the door, this drama (which recaptures the glitzy élan of New York City's most famous 1970s nightclub) will have to suffice. Lives intertwine as Gotham's elite snort cocaine and disco the night away in owner Steve Rubell's (Mike Myers) chic nightspot. Salma Hayek plays a disco diva, and Ryan Phillippe and Neve Campbell are starstruck youngsters who make the scene.

Have you gone to the movies lately? The prices are pretty high. And if you have gone to a rental store you will see that their prices are not exactly cheap either. So, if you love movies but are trying to save some cash, what do you do? Well, you could sign up for a movie channel package on your cable - if you have cable that is. The problem with this though is that ...

It did, however, prompt me to take a look at the addons site to see what options the Firefox developer community had come up with. For thumbnailed pages, SpeedDial and FastDial (pictured) are both nice options. They don't build your pages automatically, but they're both highly customizable. Right click a tab, send ...

As I was browsing around some of the other blogs today, I ran across a little trick that I thought was pretty cool. Turns out that you can add symbols to your display name in BBMessenger. You can use all of the symbols available and even a couple of the smiley faces. The only catch here is that you cannot use anything with a colon in your display name. I am guessing this is because ...

A friend of mine is a bit of a Twitter addict. He discovered a cool Java Twitter application that works with BlackBerrys and decided to share. The application is nice and small but is not totally customized for the BlackBerry so the menu and navigation are a bit clunky. On the other hand the application has some really cool features. I did not have a chance to see if they all work on my 8310 ...

Josep sent me a link to an article on PalmAddicts that shows a promotion AT&T is running in their Media Mall app store. I can’t tell if this is something new, old, or does not even work so I thought I would throw it out there. The basic edition of Pocket Express is free but the Executive subscription is usually $6.99/month or $69.90/year so this might be a great deal if you use Pocket Express. ...
