Most importantly, Google doesn't yet have any architecture in place that would allow developers to program extensions for it. For Firefox, the extension ecology that developed around it has a been a major contributor to its success and many users who might prefer the ...Shared by AJ (161) Chris (14) Corvida (60) Creeva (31) dd (7) Dimitar D (35) Elroy (21) foolarch (74) Henk-Jan van der Klis (9) Jandy (11) keith (52) Michael Rose (9) Mike F (361) Morton Fox (42) rebrse (127) sarahintampa (79) Wayne (51) wvpv (9)- Chris said: I'm kind of surprised they don't have extensions ready to roll out, since this is such a critical feature of FF. Google to Offer its Own Browser: Chrome - ReadWriteWeb (94)

Google watchdog Phillip Lessen has scanned and posted a printed comic he says he received in the mail from Google today describing the company's forthcoming open source browser Chrome. The link to Chrome is currently a 404. Long rumored to be in the works, this appears to be the first formal acknowledgment that Google really is working on its own browser - and it looks very cool.
