7 Principles Of Clean And Optimized CSS Code (292)

Smashing Magazine (613) permalink
By Tony White Some of you may remember the days when 30KB was the recommended maximum size of a web page, a value which included HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, and images. I find with every new project with even the slightest bit of complexity, it’s not long before that 30 KB ideal is well out of my reach. With the popularity of CSS layouts and JavaScript-enriched web page experiences, it’s not uncommon, particularly for large ...Shared by !&# (17) (jeff)isageek (48) Aaron Raddon (6) Adam Helweh (32) Adam Schoales (6) Aditya (0) AJ (161) akira (6) Alan (24) Alard (5) AlexT (4) alice_gar (0) Altuğ Orgun (6) Amit (14) Andrea (8) Andrew Cornett (1) Andrew Hughes (25) Andrew Jones (1) Andrey (16) Andy K. People need to understand motivation in order to make sense of a story. When we see a person or a business take action, our first move is to try to figure out their motivation. The why. One of my favorite aspects of product design is the feedback mechanism. When I think of feedback, I think fundamentally about the car dashboard. Nearly every action that a driver makes in a car is responded to with one or more forms of feedback whether audible, tactile or visual. When turning into a left lane, the driver will (hopefully) use the turn signal lever to indicate the change of lanes. Pulling the lever anti-clockwise will ...Shared by Bharath Balasubramanian (3) D.
