Filed under: Portable Audio, Portable Video Looks like that Apple event for the Tuesday, the 9th of this month is on. We know it'll be new iPods (they always do iPods for the fall / holidays), but hopefully they'll have a little something special for us. Whatever, just as long as it's not that round, awful looking nano. Go on, hit the comments and get speculating.Permalink | Email this | Comments

I promised myself that the next car I bought would be a real electric production car. Is this my next car? More importantly, can I afford it? Likely not, but that’s not the issue here. Pictures and info after the bump. Wait for it. It shows up right in the middle. ^ The Volt is being used in Transformers 2, and after the lengthy (and slow) car scene above, you see them unwrapping it like ...

Posted by ESPN.com's Chris Low One of the chief reasons I don't like Georgia to win the SEC championship this season is the Bulldogs' schedule. It's brutal and clearly the toughest in the league. Here's how I'd rank all 12 teams' schedules this season from toughest to easiest: 1. Georgia: Geez, where do you start? The South Carolina-Arizona State road swing is bad, but the Bulldogs don't play an SEC game at home after Oct. ...

Interesting article. Seems like the Chinese government loves to manipulate information for their benefit. This is certainly nothing new.

We've known that Nike+ has long been in development for the iPhone. Now we're finally getting a peek at the first shots of the interface. From what we can skim, Nike+ users will get all of the nifty performance graphs right on the phone (before this stuff was available on the web only). But the biggest improvement over the old Nike system may be Google Maps support: We don't know just how robust the Nike+ ...

Here's a common scene—but still impressive—at the Beijing Olympics: dozens of photographers firing the most expensive digital photography gear available on the planet at full speed. The sound of all those shutters re-clacky-clicketing alone must give goosebumps to any photo aficionado, but the total price of all this machinery would actually make anyone faint. How much does this all cost? In this image alone I can count 23 cameras. I can see loads of Canon ...

The phone that many people on Twitter complain is broken will be available in regular Best Buy stores as well as Best Buy Mobile starting on September 7. This news is largely irrelevant to people who have an Apple retail store or AT&T within driving distance, but think of Middle America, or Flyover Country: how many Apple stores are out ...
