Attacks, praise stretch truth at GOP convention - Yahoo! News (13)
permalinkAlaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her Republican supporters held back little Wednesday as they issued dismissive attacks on Barack Obama and flattering praise on her credentials to be vice president. In some cases, the reproach and the praise stretched the truth.Shared by Alessio Bragadini (11) Andy Hill (2) Dave S (25) gamany (1) Gil Creque (7) Grant Gochnauer (4) Karl Swedberg (2) matt hubbs (3) mediaChick (6) MidgetWombat (6) Robby Russell (4) Scott (4) Wesley (10)
- Scott said: Facts from the AP swingset. Palin's speech sounded to me like that of a comedian. A lot of punchlines at Obama's expense based on very thin, and mostly baseless, ideas. I couldn't take it seriously any more than I can take, say, Chris Rock seriously.

With the end of the Olympics in Beijing, all eyes turned for a moment to London, site of the upcoming 2012 Summer Olympics.
