Hack Your Wii for Homebrew Apps and DVD Playback [Wii] (98)
on Lifehacker (6610) permalinkDespite the fact that it ships with a DVD drive, for whatever godforsaken reason, the Nintendo Wii doesn't support DVD playback—until last week, that is, when a homebrew hacker released a tool that enables DVD playback on your Wii. The best part? You don't have to crack open your Wii or disturb your hardware in any way to install it. Let's take a detailed look at how to softmod your Wii with the Twilight hack ...Shared by AaronTN (116) abrudtkuhl (107) Adam (140) AdamB (20) Alone On A Friday (26) alphakamp (25) Amu (5) Andrew Becherer (24) Andrew Hughes (61) Archimedes Trajano (41) Art (201) aurelien (11) Bene (10) Billy Fairchild (87) Bjarte S. Set Up Mozilla Weave on Your Own Server [How To] (44)
on Lifehacker (6610) permalinkBlogger Marios Tziortzis details how to set up previously mentioned Mozilla Weave—Mozilla's Firefox-syncing tool—on your personal web server. Setting up Weave with your own server means you don't have to rely on Mozilla's servers, and you can keep your private data, which includes passwords, bookmarks, cookies, and browsing history, on your own web space. It's not a terribly difficult process, so if rolling your own Mozilla Weave server appeals to you, it's worth a go. ...Shared by afreytes (23) Andrew (51) Brian Stearns (5) brokekid (302) chip (48) Chris L (81) Dan (73) Dan Russell (106) David (10) Dhjiz (11) Doug Stewart (112) Drew Olanoff (464) ewbrown (10) Gene Locklin (377) gnusic (196) Greg (39) Haris (53) JasonV (21) Jeff Crump (55) Jeremy P (40) Jon (32) Leonid Mamchenkov (7) Matthew (636) Michael (14) Michael (3) Neo2049 (57) Nick (11) nicknich3 (59) Nicolai (58) Nocky100 (30) Pat (59) Patty (576) Paul (51) Priit^ (139) Randy (48) Ryan (1) rzklkng (345) SD (130) Thomas Reimer S (96) Tolga Orhon (3) Wendy DeCora (20) wwdj (35) xxdesmus (57) Zach (80)Contribute comment

A tiny bit about energy policy (1)

We and other forward-looking companies put a lot of effort into hiring such people. What are we looking for?At the highest level, we are looking for non-routine problem-solving skills. We expect applicants to be able to solve routine problems as a matter of course. After all, that's what most education is concerned with.
