Have you ever declared your undying love to someone by creating a mix tape? Well, cassette tapes have gone the way of the dinosaurs, but home taping a compilation of songs is now easier than ever: with this USB Stick "Mix Tape" - it even comes with a faux cassette box. Link - via The Fire Wire

Behold the Greatest Workstation of All Time: the Emperor. I mean, come on, anything that looks like it can control a turbolaser battery or fire a giant anti-matter death ray must be the greatest workstation of all time, period. But according to Patrick Laflamme Duval—business developer for manufacturer Novelquest—the name is not a Star Wars nod, but a reference to the emperor scorpion's tail: At the press of a button, the Emperor’s tail section (the ...

It’s a Wii without the $350 console. It’s virtual Pong and so much more. Any object is now an input device, even your fingers. Bang, bang! CamTrax’s core technology is a pure software solution that allows nearly any ordinary PC webcam (95% are supported) to track up to four objects—even as small as 5mm—in real-time and with very high accuracy and reliability. (It works only on Windows). Locking and tracking (X, Y, and Z axes and angle) are all automatic. Yaron Tanne, founder & CEO of CamTrax Technologies, the company behind CamSpace, has been developing the technology practically single-handedly for three years in his apartment in Tel-Aviv.

Continuing an increasingly apparent trend at Computex, Aiptek is planning to show their new PocketCinema V10 mini-projector which they say is rated to display images up to a diagonal 50 inches. Details are still a little slim at the moment, but Aiptek has released a basic spec set, claiming a support for MPEG-4 video, JPEG stills, a 3-in-1 input jack (that's as specific as they get), 1gb of onboard storage, and SD/MMC/MS Pro expansion capability. ...

If you are interested in adding a soundtrack to your video, there’s lots of great music available through Creative Commons that won't get you in trouble for copyright infringement. If you use background music, it’s great form to attribute the music you use by mentioning and linking to the artist, or the CC page you found it on. Here are some online resources you might like to ...
