Dearest In-N-Out, I would very much like to know whether or not the keeerazy internet rumor about the In-N-Out 60th Year Anniversary on October 22, 2008 is true or not. According to some many people, on that day you may be selling your hamboyggas for a quarter, your cheeseboyggas for 30 cents, your Freedom Fries for [...]

I have a confession to make. The new Google G1 smartphone appeals to me a lot more than the iPhone does. Not in terms of slickness and coolness of course, but actually, even though it’s about 30% thicker and nearly 20% heavier than the iPhone, I kinda’ like the G1’s more understated and utilitarian look. I don’t own a smartphone. I live at least 30 miles from the nearest GSM coverage and we barely get ...

Written by Vito Rispo Two thirds of all Americans aged 18-24 cannot find Iraq on a map; 33% couldn’t identify Louisiana; 47% couldn’t find India; 75% think English was the most widely spoken language in the world. People are idiots, and this isn’t a uniquely American phenomenon, it’s worldwide. The majority of human beings on Earth are stone dumb. Being dumb, most people do dumb things, like unknowingly destroy their car. So we’ve assembled the ...

While not as grandiose as having your own secret bookshelf door, constructing a hidden USB data stash won't take a whole weekend and involve a table saw. At the DIY website Instructables there is a step by step tutorial on hiding your data behind a phone jack plate. By wiring a USB cord to the phone plate and making a USB cord with a phone jack terminal at one end, you'll be able to access ...

Thats what so many want. Right ? I’m certainly not going to lie and say it is not a whole lot better having lots of money. I had a whole lot of fun and loved my life when I was eating mustard and ketchup sandwiches and sleeping on the floor of a 3 bedroom apartment that housed me and 5 buddies. I have a whole lot more fun now. It doesn’t suck to be rich. ...

Mark lives a life most of us would love to have. Of course he didn't explain how HE got rich. He sold Broadcast.com to Yahoo for billions. That requires something far beyond discipline: luck. Some people DO win the lottery! But, I find that following people who always chase money is pretty damn boring. I've been on private jets. I've been in expensive cars that cost more than nearly everything I own. Yawn. What is rich? My friend Teresa Williamson inviting me to an awesome concert. My wife hanging out with me on the couch. A conversation with someone who is changing the world. Money ain't everything. I watched my mom die with a bunch of gold in her basement. She couldn't take it with her. On the other hand, money does open doors easier and gets you into wild experiences, but it's not the only way to have wild experiences. That said, I'm following much of Mark's advice because, well, it's good advice for our times.

Love this:"Save your money. Save as much money as you possibly can. Every penny you can. Instead of coffee, drink water. Instead of going to McDonalds, eat Mac and Cheese. Cut up your credit cards. If you use a credit card, you dont want to be rich. The first step to getting rich, requires discipline."

well, definitely seems like it's been the popular topic of late... hell, even victor hanson is getting into the action with his latest op/ed piece this week --- Sarah BidenJournalists continue to ask, "What was John McCain thinking in selecting the gaffe-prone Gov. We weren't allowed to drive it, but we were allowed to look at, touch, drool over, and sit in, it. The production version of the much-awaited, redesigned Chevy Camaro was with us at Texas Motor Speedway this week, and I was happy to see it stayed very true to the concept vehicle. Looking like the classics of the late 60's, the new version has that familiar aggressive front fascia, wide rear fender flares with embossed ...
