On Wednesday morning on September 10th they turn on the Large Hadron Collider… We have a Long Bet that states “Large Hadron Collider will destroy Earth.” And you can watch the video above of what that looks like above. The “First Beam” will occur at 9:30am at CERN which I believe will be about 1:30am as we clean up after the Anathem Event. Fimoculous has nicely highlighted a series of good films that Hulu has made freely available. The one obvious downside is that, unless something has changed at Hulu, the flicks will only be available to viewers in the US. (Hulu needs to do better than this!) I don't know if comic strip genius Bill Watterson would like this version of his worldwide-beloved Calvin and Hobbes/Jobs—who morphs from philosophical tiger to killer CEO—, but we approve. Actually, it made me laugh and wish for new strips. The drawing may not be as good as the original, but Jobs' physique and attitude feels absolutely spot on. Update: another series after the jump.
