In 2009, Facebook Connect Makes Us Forget Facebook Widgets (10)

When Facebook launched its platform in 2007, executives said it would become an "ecosystem" full of Web-based software applications that would make their creators money by solving user needs. Their advantage over the rest of the Internet would be connective tissue that Mark Zuckerberg called "the social graph" -- his metaphor for the dataset that describes Facebook users and maps the connections between them. It never really happened, and last week, Facebook reportedly pulled the ...Shared by (jeff)isageek (92) Alberto (20) Chris J. If you could search your friends’ thoughts, interests, and activities, would that be a better search experience? In many cases, it would be. Searching for restaurants, books, or movies, would turn up recommendations from people you actually know. If you are researching a trip to Florence, Italy, you might discover ten friends who have been there already, and could ask for advice on what to do. These scenarios have been the dream of social search ...Shared by (jeff)isageek (92) Aad 't Hart (18) Aaron (36) Abhishek (23) Adrian Tanase (25) afroginthevalley (37) Air Win (15) Alex (38) Alex (49) Alex Porter (29) Alisha (829) Alphonse Ha (8) Anchuai (22) Andrew (38) Angel (371) ani625 (280) Arasmus (35) ariel (7) arshad (215) benavent (59) Benedict Lee Zhi En (150) BradfordCoffey (50) Brian Chaikelson (1) Bud (46) caozenghui (58) Carl-Frederic De Celles (66) Carlos (15) Daan (24) Dan (99) Dan (28) danliebke (54) Dare Obasanjo (13) Dave Hodson (42) David Feng (101) DavidSS (27) DevCode (23) Devlin D (38) dominiccampbell (49) Don Cain (26) Donna DeClemente (7) dreig (45) Dwayne (17) Eduard Blacquière (23) Eric T (20) Erick Schonfeld (6) evo (18) Felipe Vera Fernández (12) Fimpa (36) Fung (30) Gerard Barberi (39) Ghosthead (145) GP (41) Grapplica (31) Gubatron (144) Guy Martin (4) Henk Nouwens (67) Hollow (43) hooqy (58) Huang (32) iAlja (38) İzzet Emre Kutlu (32) Jack (16) Jake (14) Jared (8) Jeffrey Canton (61) Jesse Stay (122) Jim (19) Jim (26) Jim Purbrick (37) Joe Dawson (98) John C Abell (16) JonMoss-theappleofmyi (139) Jordi (27) jordi ruiz (15) Jorg (26) Josh Karpf (48) Jun (90) Junyu (62) Justin Yost (103) Kin (14) Kol Tregaskes (168) Marilyn (30) Mark Glaser (45) Marshall Sponder (63) Matteo (226) Mattnic (34) Mehmet Çakır (18) Mike Fruchter (875) Mike Reynolds (47) Mike Wilton (33) Morgan (22) Mr. BabyMan (473) Muhammad Saleem (998) Nico (5) Nicolas Mas - ConceptSL (24) Oneupweb (4) Pankaj (69) patternhunter (19) Paul (29) Paul Dunay (37) Phreak 2.0 (57) Priscilla tan (0) qingk2 (39) rafiq (19) ramses101 (5) Randy (32) Rick Klau (79) Rick Schmidt (24) Rob (51) Robin Wauters (20) Roland (27) roland legrand (18) Roland Tanglao (91) rushabh doshi (17) Ryan Kellett (21) Samuel Wu (25) Sarunas (10) sczizzo (29) Sean Rasmussen (1803) Sergei Sokolenko (0) shahramabyari (18) Silke Berz (7) Simon (51) simonvreeman (57) sky (30) small (32) Susan Agliata (12) Syed Syiddul Akram (16) tamihania (46) Taylor (10) thinkingit (18) Thomas Pleil (6) Tim Hoeck (48) Tim Probst (36) Timo Heuer (13) Timothy (21) TinTin (17) tobias (27) Tom Parish Inc.
