Al-Faw Palace is where I worked for the first six months of my time here; it's a pretty impressive building, so here are some more pictures of it. Here it is from a distance, and at night:This is what you see on the walking towards: Here is the enormous front door: This is the rotunda you enter when you walk inside, with a huge chandelier hanging above:This is what it looks like set up for ...

I read earlier today in Webmonkey that Google were working on their own web browser, and that it would be up for testing today. First I was sceptical, I mean, when do they stop? I figured there would be no way they could be Firefox. Good old Firefox, I will never betray you. Mostly I was concerned over another browser that had their “vision” of the W3C standard and that I had to change everything ...

Pretty self-explanatory set this week! This Photoshop brush set is made up of varoius letters, symbols, runes, etc (including some in other languages) scattered randomly about. Kind of like taking all the tiles in Scrabble and just tossing them. (Ooh… interesting idea! But that’s a set for another day!) Go Now to the Downloads Page! Random Photoshop Tip: Did you know that you can change the way that you view your brushes in the brush ...

Amazon confirmed our speculation that they are planning to target colleges and universities with a new version of the Kindle, reports the Seattle PI. Textbooks are a $5.5 billion annual market, and most publishers now offer electronic versions of their textbooks. McGraw-Hill Education, for example, publishes 95% of their books electronically as well as in print. But there is no compelling device to read them on. The new Kindle will likely be a large screen ...

SO COOL - this should be a great catalyst for amazon, and plays to a bunch of themes that are popular across the political divide. Good on Amazon for bringing this solution to market.

This set is made up of various lightning bolts. It includes single bolts, so that you could combine them together to make your own bolts if you wished (or leave them on their lonesome, of course!). Also includes various groupings of lightning bolts already together. These are all original - designed from scratch by moi, using a few photos of lightning bolts that I’ve taken as reference. They are also extremely high resolution, with the ...
