Now they've gone to the "light" version. I've given it a few days but just can't take it anymore. With the smaller pages, fonts on some of the sections has gotten so much smaller that one almost needs a magnifying glass to read them. Yes, I wear low strength reading glasses, but the TV section font is ridiculous. And the comics?? They are made to fit the desired section, damn the proportions -- result? Distorted ...

With America facing historic debt, multiple war fronts, stumbling health care, a weakened dollar, all-time high prison population, skyrocketing Federal spending, mortgage crises, bank foreclosures, etc. etc., this is an unusually critical election year. Let's look at the educational background of the candidates and see what they bring to the job: Obama: ...

I first had Migas in Austin, Texas, when I was visiting my sister, Betsy, and her techie-nerd husband, Matt. Because I woke up one morning during my stay with a raging case of LBSCBDO (read about it; maybe you have a loved one who suffers, too), Betsy and Matt drove me to a quaint little restaurant that resembled a tiny house. Then I started crying and carrying on. “I want an Egg McMuffin!” I shouted, ...

The report maintained that, during your purely hypothetical discussion, both of you would come off as smug, narrow-minded, or downright ignorant if you tried to criticize the other candidate's positions on key issues such as abortion and gay rights. The ensuing argument would only further cement both of your feelings of disgust toward the other candidate.

I wondered how much interaction the Alaskan governor has with Russia. Quite a bit, apparently. It seems, though, that Palin hasn't been particularly interested during her administration.

I work with about three different variations of chocolate chip cookies, all of which I’ll share with you, my friends, so that I won’t feel so alone in my noshing. This one is my most basic—my go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe when I need ‘em in 30 minutes or less. It’s like the Domino’s Pizza of all my chocolate chip cookie recipes. While the other recipes of mine have more bizarre ingredients in them, this ...

The biggest headaches for web designers and developers often come not from design, or from writing meaningful markup and CSS but from browser related issues. I'll assume and hope that you are already writing markup for the maximum meaning rather than simply to achieve a visual result. I also hope that you use all of the available CSS selectors to help you avoid filling your markup with presentational elements and attributes. After-all that is the ...
