Co myślisz o kryzysie? (1)

Dominik Kaznowski (13) permalink

Linux-Based E-Voting In Brazil (8)

John Sokol writes "I just heard from a good friend and Linux kernel hacker in Brazil that they have just finished their municipal election with 128 million people using Linux to vote. They voted nationwide for something like 5,000 city mayors. Voting is mandatory in Brazil. The embedded computer they are using once ran VirtuOS (a variant of MSDOS); it now has its own locally developed, Linux-based distro. These are much nicer, smaller, and cheaper ...Shared by 100rabh™ (29) Everton Zanella Alvarenga (22) Jeremiah (25) Jonathan (22) Maziar (21) Roman (29) Sandor D (15) Sysop (7)Contribute comment -

Jak przyznaje 34% ankietowanych, znalezione tą drogą bardziej prywatne informacje o potencjalnym ...Shared by Roman (29)Contribute comment -

CERN Officially Unveils Its Grid: 100,000 Processors, 15 Petabytes a Year - ReadWriteWeb (42)

CERN today officially unveiled the massive computer network that will crunch the enormous amount of data coming from CERN's Large Hadron Collider (LHC). CERN expects that the LHC will produce around 15 petabytes of data every year. While the LHC was in its planning stages, CERN's IT department decided that the only realistic way to handle this amount of data would be by relying on the then still novel idea of grid computing. CERN's grid ...Shared by abhi (21) Alex (119) atul (153) dang (4) Danny Navarro (13) Devlin D (28) dobata (307) Donnie Berkholz (19) Ed Summers (8) GP (46) Hervey (35) hornbeck (18) Ispirato (30) Jawad Shuaib (25) Joe (115) justindavey (12) Keef (37) keith (85) leonard (24) martin king (9) Matt (25) Memabo (18) mndoci (62) Muhammad Basheer (18) Nick (51) Núria (21) Ontario Emperor (79) Paul Dunay (31) PT (18) Renton (9) rezar (20) Roger (110) Roman (29) Ryan (16) Stéfano (34) Steinkirch (20) Steve M. Dell Mini 9 hacked to run OS X (23)

Filed under: Laptops We're assuming Apple will eventually give up and release a netbook of its own, but until then Steve had better get used to seeing OS X hacked to run on all manner of tiny laptops -- the latest to make the switch is Dell's Inspiron Mini 9. Nothing too complicated about this hack, since most of the work was already done for the internally-similar MSI Wind, but you'll have to dig up ...Shared by Aaron R (142) abrudtkuhl (24) antonio vergara (17) Arturo (50) Bobby (19) Brian (25) charris1980 (25) Dimituri (23) Eric Carlson (17) Francesco (21) GG (64) gnusic (77) ja | castillo (33) Jimmy (19) Justin (16) Kevin (36) Leonid (20) Mikey (68) nkronberg (73) Noah (53) Omar Gallaga (37) Rob (19) Roman (29)- Francesco said: ;)

From the dynamics of social networks to market bubbles, science has a lot to say about the world of technology. One of the great discoveries of modern science was the realization of how interconnected the world is. The deterministic, Newtonian view of a clockwork Universe was replaced by the much more dynamic, uncertain and entangled world of Quantum Mechanics. The new world is the one where Godel forever cut hopes for completeness in mathematics and ...Shared by A Librarian (25) adam (997) Adamo (38) Ahsan Navid Hussain (450) Alberto (278) Alex (21) Alex (119) alios (3) Amit Chowdhry (114) Amy (161) ANDRE DANEAU (1) andré.friedrichs (38) Andréia Bohner (47) Andrew (2) ani625 (87) Antonio (4) Apostlion (15) arjo (90) b-rad (41) Benjamin (459) Benjamin (7) Berkay (12) Bill (1) bittin (286) Blake Matheny (8) bnutzinger (15) Brooke Pennington (3) burkinaboy (95) c202 (20) Cadmus (4) Carlesm (16) cheeming (18) Chris (26) Chris Gurney (26) Chris Hitchcock (73) Chris Ryall (21) cmulder (8) Collin Voigt (5) Coop (22) corvin (16) Dan Ketterick (8) Dan Reiner (3) Daniel Dočekal (17) Dave (5) Dave (104) David (20) Dean Burge (23) dedlam (19) Dmitry Naumenko (20) Dmitry Ulanov (21) dobata (307) Dragos Pirvu (652) drewenut (15) Edwin (3) EggHe/\D (15) Elliot (20) Erik (21) Fenng (68) Filip Salindrija (48) Gadiel Rivera (9) Gary Homewood (10) Gene Locklin (47) George The Writer (19) Green Flash (11) Gregg Hartling (9) Hagen (4) Haidong (17) Harish (20) Hasan Saleem (171) heping (6) iAlja (69) Igor (2) Ira White Jr. (76) Ivy (50) J.D.
